Artificial Large Ficus C Style Custom Height Exibition Hall Foliage Tree Natural Looking Technique No Light Plant
Real plants deteriorate over time, especially if placed in less-than-ideal conditions, often turning into a brown, unsightly mess for you or the cleaning and maintenance staff to clean. However, no matter how long you leave an artificial tree standing, it will maintain its appearance and remain bright and fresh-looking. Areca palm trees are a good example of this; though long-lasting, slip-ups in their care will kill the plant. That’s why hotels are now opting for artificial palm trees.
Safety should be a primary concern when purchasing anything for a home, and though artificial plants don’t rank very high on the “fire hazard” list, caution is advised. Real trees can become a fire hazard when they dry out, and the difference between a dead houseplant and a fiery element usually lies in a small series of unfortunate events. Luckily, modern artificial trees are made of flame retardant materials — they melt but do not burst into flames.
Many people are actually allergic to products and by-products of plant life, some of which happen because of the mold that lives on the trees. This plant-infesting mold thrives and multiplies swiftly when they’re displayed in a closed environment, such as our homes.
More than 50 different molds are known to live on indoor plants, and while most of them are harmless, some may cause cold-like symptoms and asthma attacks. Luckily, artificial trees don’t have these issues, and they’re a safer bet if you or any other member of your household has asthma or some type of allergies.
Live plants, such as fiddle-leaf fig trees, dracaena, and banana tree houseplants, require adequate maintenance to retain their health and pleasant aesthetics. On the other hand, Yucca requires very little maintenance in terms of watering, but it’s mildly toxic to humans and pets, which makes it somewhat dangerous.
Boxwood topiary trees and eucalyptus trees maintain themselves reasonably well but require other types of maintenance, such as trimming. However, there’s virtually no maintenance associated with artificial plants and trees, apart from the aforementioned dusting from time to time.
